BACKGROUND: MAIF is dedicated to helping Maryland drivers understand the importance of safe driving and auto insurance. The Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF) was created by the Maryland State Legislature in 1972 for the purpose of providing automobile insurance for those residents of Maryland who are unable to obtain it elsewhere in the private insurance market.
NEWS INTEREST: Members of the news media will have an advanced opportunity to see and experience MAIF’s “Distracted Driving Simulator” that will make its public debut at the Maryland State Fair later this week. The news media will also have an opportunity to interview young/student drivers.
PHOTO OPS: Available during and after the program; young/student drivers using the Distracted Driving Simulator.
